Is a Virtual Assistant an employee?
The status of the Virtual Assistant will depend on your business needs. Virtual Assistants may work as permanent employees, temporary employees, or independent contractors. Additionally, they may work part-time or full-time.
The amount you pay a Virtual Assistant will depend on several factors, including the scope of the work that he/she will perform, how many hours they will work, and their skill-level. There are three key payment models to chose from:
Hourly Rate is the pay-as-you-go approach, meaning you pay for the total hours worked.
Fixed Rate is a flat fee paid based on completion of a project or several tasks.
Retainer Fee is an agreement to pay a flat fee for a set number of hours each month.
